Das traditionelle Seefelder Schneefest beeindruckt seit Jahren mit seinen aus Schnee und Eis geschnitzten Skulpturen und einem vielfältigen Rahmenprogramm für die ganze Familie. In der kommenden Wintersaison steht das Motto des Seefelder Schneefests klassisch im Zeichen der FIS Nordischen Ski-WM 2019. Am 19. Jänner 2019 ist es soweit – die Seefelder Fußgängerzone erstrahlt in eisigem Glanze und lädt mit musikalischen und kulinarischen Highlights zum Feiern ein.
Von 14:00 Uhr bis Mitternacht gibt es in der Seefelder Fußgängerzone einiges zu erleben: Köstlichkeiten und coole Drinks sorgen neben Live-Musik für ein besonderes Ambiente. Gleich zu Beginn findet von 14:00 bis 15:30 Uhr das Schneefest-Warm-Up mit DJ KAYCE statt, während von 15:30 bis 18:00 Uhr die Band Cookie Jar die Besucher zum Mitsingen und Tanzen animiert. Zu späterer Stunde heizt Siris voller Leidenschaft am Dorfplatz ein. Wer seine Geschicklichkeit unter Beweis stellen möchte, hat bei der Laserbiathlon-Station die Chance dazu.
Auch Tiroler Brauchtum wird beim Seefelder Schneefest gelebt – dafür sorgen die Rumer Muller von 19:00 bis 19:30 Uhr. Von 21:00 bis 21:30 Uhr beeindruckt erstmals eine kunstvolle Feuershow die Besucher am Dorfplatz.
Traditionelle Schneeskulpturen in Seefeld und Leutasch
Den Höhepunkt des traditionellen Schneefestes stellen die kunstvollen Skulpturen aus Schnee und Eis dar. Die handgeschnitzten, überlebensgroßen Kunstwerke zieren sowohl Seefeld, als auch Leutasch. Diese beeindrucken vor allem durch ihre detaillierte Ausführung, die die Schnitzschüler aus Berchtesgaden, Garmisch und Oberammergau mit viel Liebe zum Detail aus dem Eis meißeln. Die Schneeskulpturen zieren die Seefelder Fußgängerzone und können dort hautnah bestaunt werden.
Geführte Skulpturenwanderung am Donnerstag, 17.01.2019
Wer einen Einblick in die Motivwahl und Handwerkskunst bekommen möchte, erhält eindrucksvolle Informationen bei den geführten Wanderungen in Leutasch oder Seefeld am 17. Jänner 2019 ab 17:00 Uhr. Die Schnitzschüler und Lehrer offenbaren dort Wissenswertes rund um die Erstellung der Figuren und in der Zwischenzeit kann man sich an einigen Stationen von traditionellen „Schmankerln“ verwöhnen lassen.

Die Teilnahme an den Wanderungen ist kostenlos, Fackeln werden vom Tourismusverband der Olympiaregion Seefeld zur Verfügung gestellt.

SEEFELD SNOW FESTIVAL
A SPARKLING ATMOSPHERE & IMPRESSIVE SNOW SCULPTURES
The traditional Seefeld Snow Festival has impressed visitors with its snow and ice sculptures and a varied supporting programme for the whole family for many years. In the coming winter season, the classic theme of the Seefeld Snow Festival will be based on the FIS Nordic Ski World Championships 2019. The Seefeld pedestrian zone is going to shine in icy splendour on 19 January 2019 and you are invited to celebrate with musical and culinary highlights.
From 14.00 to midnight there will be plenty to experience in the Seefeld pedestrian zone: culinary delicacies and cool drinks as well as live music create a special atmosphere. From 14.00 to 15.30 the snow festival warm up with DJ KAYCE will take place, while from 15.30 to 18.00 the band Cookie Jar animates the visitors to sing along and dance. At a later hour Siris heats up full of passion at the village square. If you want to prove your skills the „Laserbiathlon-Station“ offers you the chance.
Tyrolean customs are also lived out at the Seefeld Snow Festival – the „Rumer Muller“ ensure this from 19.00 to 19.30 hours. From 21.00 to 21.30 o’clock for the first time an artistic fire show impresses the visitors at the village square.
Traditional Snow Sculptures in Seefeld and Leutasch
The highlights of the traditional Snow Festival are the artistic snow and ice sculptures. The hand-carved, larger-than-life works of art grace both Seefeld and Leutasch. The carving students from Berchtesgaden, Garmisch and Oberammergau shape the ice with an impressive attention to detail. The snow sculptures can be admired close at hand in the Seefeld pedestrian zone.
Guided Sculpture Walks on Thursday, 17.01.2019
Those who want some insight into the choice of subject and the art of ice carving can join the guided walks in Leutasch or Seefeld from 17.00 on 17 January 2019. The carving students and teachers will provide information about the way they create the figures and, in the meantime, you can spoil yourself with traditional delicacies from various stops.
